Unofficial owners’ guide — not the HOA or Wildwood. Confirm requirements with the issuing agency. About this site.
- Join the HOA portal. Create an account at the Wildwood homeowner portal and download the recorded covenants, ACC guidelines, and any architectural forms. Phone (210) 732-0000 or email info@wildwood-tx.com if you need help.
- Confirm your 911 address. For Milam County, CTCOG 9-1-1 Addressing is the addressing authority. Use their online request or PDF form. Ask for verification if a street number already appears on your deed or tax roll. Aim: about 15 business days. Phone 254-770-2380 or 1-888-889-1910 · 911Addressing@ctcog.org.
- Get on the maps. After (or while) CTCOG works your address, add or fix the street and house number in Google, Apple, Waze, HERE, TomTom, Bing, and OpenStreetMap. See Maps & address.
- Milam CAD. Look up your property ID and situs address at milamcad.org. Keep the CAD ID handy for CTCOG, HOTEC, and well applications.
- USPS. Check the address at the USPS ZIP Code Lookup. Ask the Cameron Post Office (ZIP 76520) whether new lots get roadside delivery or a cluster box. Enroll in Informed Delivery once the address is in their system.
- Plan utilities early. Electric is typically Heart of Texas Electric Cooperative (HOTEC). Water may be a private well (POSGCD) and/or a rural water supplier — verify which serves your lot. Septic (OSSF) is permitted by the Milam County Health Department. Details: Utilities & wells.
- ACC before dirt work. Submit house plans, site placement, and exterior materials for Architectural Control Committee approval before county permits or site work. The county and utilities often ask for HOA approval first.

The Milam County Health Department is the OSSF permitting authority for Milam County. Phone (254) 697-7039.
Cameron Post Office & mailbox keys
Cameron Post Office
202 W. 2nd Street, Cameron, TX 76520 — not the DQ on W. 4th Street.
Start here to ask about residential mailbox assignment and keys. Contact the Post Office first to confirm that it serves your address, whether delivery is established, who owns the cluster mailbox, and what identification or proof of occupancy it needs you to bring.
- USPS-owned boxes: the local Post Office handles compartment keys and lock changes. USPS says a new resident is not charged for the first lock and keys; lost-key replacements can involve local charges.
- Privately owned boxes: the developer, HOA or property owner supplies locks and keys. USPS delivering to a box does not mean USPS owns it.
We have not independently confirmed who owns Highland Branch’s mailbox units. This is guidance for residential cluster mailboxes, not renting a PO Box. A validated mailing address or ZIP code alone does not establish active mail delivery.
